All right, let’s talk a little finance. You and I first met because you stopped me and we talked about The Wealthy Barber. You read it when you were relatively young. I think your parents got you onto it and you picked up some of the habits. Have you managed your money pretty well your whole life? Since you’ve been drawing an income at least?
Uh, yeah, I definitely have and, you know, I credit that to, you know, the team that I’ve surrounded myself with and obviously the values that my parents, um, you know, instilled, instilled with me at a young age. Um you know, so I’m very lucky to have the people that are around me that are, you know, give me advice and, help me along the way.
But, you know, it’s crazy to think about the, you know, I read the Wealthy Barber when I was 18, when I finally got my first NHL paycheque and it was, it was, uh, my, my agent at the time, Rob Cooper, he gave it to me and was like, you know, this is a really good read. And, um, you know, the, the amount of times that I bring up you know, a little snippets in that book, uh, you know, with young guys or whatever, even say, Hey, like, if you’re trying to learn more about, you know, the financial world, read this book, it’s the, it’s the, it’s the best way to kind of get introduced into, you know, just how to deal with your finances. Be simple. Be, um, you know, be conservative with your money and save.
