Well, this is a big announcement. Probably not for you, very little impact on your life, maybe even a positive one, but a huge impact on our team here. I have decided to retire at the end of the year. Frankly, until a couple of months ago, I truly believed I’d never stop working. Everybody who knows me thought that, too.

What changed? Two things, one good, one bad. I have my first grandchild on the way and I want to be very involved there, and sadly, many of my friends are suddenly battling significant health issues. I wanna spend a lot more time with them, it’s that simple. So we’re shutting down at the end of 2026. Still going to do the weekly podcast till then.

We have a series of outstanding guests already booked, and we’ll continue to pump out our social media content for the next seven months. This fall, I’m planning on going on one last really big media tour all across the country to talk about key lessons I’ve learned throughout my career. We’re announcing this now early in case you have questions you want addressed.

Get them to us ASAP. We’ll do our best to weave responses into our remaining content. Project FLIP, where we sell the audiobook version of the fully updated “The Wealthy Barber” will, of course, continue. Companies are embracing the opportunity to help their employees. Great to see, fantastic feedback. And obviously, “The Wealthy Barber,” the book, will continue to be available. In fact, there are some big promotions coming up at Indigo stores and independents, including a number of signings with free hats for all book buyers.

Yes, you can finally get a hat. This is shallow, but it’s nice going out with the book topping bestseller lists, so keep recommending it and sharing with younger people in your lives. I may keep giving some speeches in retirement, but probably only about 10 a year, though. I’m tired of airplanes, frankly.

Now, I know the big question everyone wants answered is this: What will happen to Mo? She said the other day that she’s thrilled with my decision. She also wants to slow down. But I explained that’s illogical. If I’m gonna slow down, she needs to speed up and work even harder. We gotta keep this place going.

Now, would I, after 30 years together, bump her from two, to three weeks annual vacation? It’s being considered. No promises. Anyways, a sincere thanks to all of you. No Canadian has been luckier than I have. No Canadian has been better treated. Invited into your communities, your homes, it’s all been truly wonderful.

I’ve loved every minute of it.
